recruiting students from kindergarten to 3rd grade?

Work with Librarians

Your local librarian is your friend. Talk to the librarian about the following:

  • Post student registration flyers prominently so parents can see it easily as they walk into the library.
  • Add the OneInMath opportunity in the event calendar on the website and in print.
  • Make an announcement during other kids activities like reading clubs, story time, etc. Many preschoolers have older siblings.
  • Publish it in the library newsletter.
  • Go to the library during the busiest times and have a table set up close to the entrance with OneInMath flyers and talk to parents about the program as they come in.

Reach out to Elementary Schools

FYI – Check with librarians as they usually have relationship with neighboring schools.

  • Post program information in neighboring elementary schools  online.
  • Write to principals/teachers of local elementary schools to share with students/parents of the opportunity.
  • Talk to PTA of local schools and request to share the program information in their newsletter.
  • Post on the PTA or school’s Facebook or Instagram page.

Community Outreach

  • Post flyers at local social and religious organizations locations.
  • Post flyers at local coffee shops or stores.
