Volunteer: Chapter Coordinator (Adult)

You will be the adult responsible coordinating OneInMath programs at multiple locations to ensure they run smoothly. You will support the core OneInMath team including the Session Manager, Session Leaders, Tutors and parents at assigned locations.

Responsibilities

Manage 1 to 5 OneInMath chapters (locations) and will ensure the session life cycle is set up and implemented properly for a successful outcome. This includes:

Coordinate with Session Manager, Session Leader and library staff to finalize the dates and times of the classes for a given session and set up the same in the system.
Monitor registrations and follow up to ensure the required number of volunteers and students have registered to have a healthy session.
Ensure training preparedness, and that volunteer training is conducted in a timely manner, and volunteers are marked with proper status after training.
Provide instructions and ensure the chapter tutors are trained and ready to hold the first class (diagnostics).
Ensure that the Session Leader and Tutors are following the curriculum, following all the safety rules, are on time, and the class is run efficiently. Monitor students who are absent more than twice are removed per program policy.
Monitor weekly classes including student tracker for student packet entries, volunteer hours, and provide coaching/guidance to Session Manager, Session Leader and Tutors as needed.
Review the weekly debrief reports and provide acknowledgement and feedback.
Monitor and ensure parent and Tutor emails are being responded to by Session Leads and Session Managers.
Respond to queries by Session Leads and Session Managers.
Work/coordinate with the core OneInMath members regularly and report any negligence and suggestions to improve the running of the program.
Optional: Rotate between locations assigned to attend the classes if it is physically possible and actively observe and provide guidance as necessary.

Qualifications

High School graduate (Bachelor degree preferred).
Love Math, kids, and coaching.
Organization and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Energetic and professional.
Age: 18+
Great for those who are retired, homemakers or empty nesters.
Former Session Leads/Tutors who have graduated from high school and are now in college, college students are highly encouraged to apply.

Commitment

2 to 3 hours a week for follow ups.
Optional: Attend weekly classes.
Minimum commitment for one year.
